Testing Services

Providing Reliable Quality Assurance / Quality Control Services

TESTING SERVICES

Hull provides highly skilled and experienced personnel qualified and certified in accordance with international certification schemes like PCN (EN 473 / ISO 9712) and SNT-TC-1A.
We have in-house personnel qualified to ASNT NDE Level III, PCN Level III, CSWIP 3.2 and AWS CWI.
With this, we are positioned to meet all your NDT needs in:

  • Ultrasonic Testing
  • Radiographic Testing
  • Magnetic Particle Testing
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing
  • Computer Radiography
  • Eddy Current Testing
  • Infra-Red Thermography
  • Phased Array
  • Time of Flight Diffraction
  • Welding Inspection
  • Positive Material Identification

ADVANCED RADIOGRAPHIC SERVICES

Hull offers Advanced Radiographic Services which eliminate the use of RT films, manual processing and associated handling and storage needs of conventional radiographic films.

Advanced Radiographic techniques deployed are able to determine the remaining pipe wall thickness in insulated pipes and also determine the extent of internal and external corrosion during in-service inspection and shutdown inspection of components where ultrasonic testing cannot be performed due to constraint of section.

The Advanced Radiographic services offered by Hull include:
1. Computer Radiography (CR)
2. Digital Radiography (DR)
3. Profile Radiography

CORROSION UNDER INSULATION

Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) poses serious challenge to HVAC piping system, cryogenic and high temperature units used in the petrochemical industry. If not detected timely, it can cause catastrophic failure.

CUI is difficult to find because the insulation covers the corrosion problem until it is too late. A direct assessment of the extent of the corrosion is expensive because it requires the removal of insulation before inspection and reinstalling the insulation afterwards.
Our unique inspection approach using advanced NDT technology is able to detect Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) without removing the cladding and thermal insulation.

Technologies to be deployed include:
1. Pulse Eddy Current
2. Digital Radiography
3. Infrared Thermography
